The team behind RTS Trash Service is all about community outreach and involvement. That’s why we host several events in Kentwood, MI and the Grand Rapids area throughout the year. These include Back to School, Halloween and Christmas events.

Join us for our Back to School event on August 11, 2025

What can you expect at our annual Back to School community outreach event? Last year, we distributed 300 backpacks for local school children at no cost. We also provided free school supplies to help kids stay on track in the classroom, games to engage their minds and toys to keep them active. But our Back to School bash doesn’t stop there. We also had local vendors, games, activities and raffles for kids and their families. 

By supporting our community this way, we can…

• Help children feel prepared, confident and presentable at school
• Prevent teachers from paying out of pocket for their students’ supplies
• Foster a love of learning throughout the Grand Rapids area
